The founders, Lauren & Ruthie, during their seventh grade year, had an idea. Inspired by their parochial school background, they decided to create a t-shirt line featuring faith-based sayings on clothing styles that were cool and fashionable. Lauren and Ruthie have paid attention to the shirts their generation prefers -- big and baggy for boys and form-fitting but modest for girls. The idea caught on. And not just for kids in their age group. The teachers at school started wearing the “Got Faith?” t-shirts and then the parents wanted the shirts. The grade-schoolers saw the cool middle-schoolers wearing the shirts and then they wanted to wear them too. Even bank tellers started asking where they could get the shirts!

 

So, Lauren & Ruthie started making more shirts, trademarked the name and started the company, “Got Faith?”, named after their most popular t-shirt bearing that name. They started by getting their raw materials and services online, but eventually found a local shirt manufacturer. They have committed themselves to donating part of the proceeds from their company to charity.
